How do acai berry & resveratrol differ?
I’ve been taking resveratrol capsules for a couple of months. Yesterday I bought acai berry tablets. My husband said they were the same thing.
They are similar in the fact that they are both very high potency antioxidants, but that’s the only similarity.
Acai is an actual berry that grows in the Amazon rainforest… Resveratrol is a natural chemical that is found in red wine grapes among other places. Resveratrol also has added benefits for cardiovascular health that Acai doesn’t.
Has anyone the supplement Resveratrol?
If so how long did you take it before you saw results i.e. lower blood pressure, more energy, weight loss or a more youthfull appearance?
If you’ve not tried it or never heard of it, lets save the answers for those who have. Thanks

Polygonum cuspidatum root extract (50% resveratrol) 50mg:
Chromium (as polynicotinate) 75mcg: Chromium is a trace mineral essential for normal blood sugar metabolism.
EGCG from Green Tea Extract 225 mg: A potent antioxidant component in green tea, EGCG also helps fight free radical damage and is thought to support cardiovascular health. EGCG has been shown to increase energy expenditure (a measure of metabolism), and to increase fat oxidation.
Caffeine 200 mg: Caffeine is naturally found in certain leaves, seeds, and fruits of over 60 plants worldwide, including coffee and tea, and has been shown to have a stimulating effect on mood, stamina and energy.
L-Theanine 8mg: A water soluble amino acid found in green tea and in mushrooms. In-vitro and animal studies suggest that L-Theanine may also be helpful with weight loss.
Other Ingredients: Vegetable Capsules (Cellulose, Water)
The Main ingredients are red grapes, drink red grape juice and red, black berries.
I know most red wine does, but white merlot is a tad lighter than regular merlot. It’s also sweeter.
Probably does have some minor beneficial properties if the colour of the wine has been achieved by at least some skin contact.
However, colouring agents are used by many inexpensive white merlot producers which will offer no benefit at all as the anti-oxident benefits are found primarily in the grape skins.
Drink red & stay healthy!

Organic concord grape juice!
Is Resveratrol safe to take as a supplement?
..and can i get large amounts from drinking grape juice/red wine?
Taking too much wine will overcome the positive effects with ethanol damage. And grape juice doesn’t work – resveratrol is relatively confined to the skin of the grape. Thus… Its safe as a supplement, and you can find it (maybe at bodybuilding.com or what not) on the web, but its expensive – unless you’re already an athelete, and are taking it not for the heart help but for the endurance boost, then I’d say just work out a little – it’ll go further.
How much did you take and were you dieting too?
Never heard of it, but would love to know if it works!
Does anyone know the benefits of resveratrol?
I’ve read that it can solve alot of health problems and even prolong your life. Does anyone have any further information?
The simple answer is that it’s a fantastic, high potency antioxidant. Antioxidants fight against free-radicals, which are basically the little dingies running through your system and damaging cells.
There are scientists that believe that free-radicals are what causes the visible signs of aging, but there isn’t total agreement across the board at this time.
I’ve heard of many people that believe that antioxidants can cure any diseases (including cancer, although those are more extreme beliefs) and make you live longer (which normally go back to the "free-radicals cause aging" idea). There are also many people that don’t believe any of that, though… like I said, there’s no general consensus when it comes to antioxidants.
